Safe use

Glaucoma needs ongoing care from an eye doctor, including regular checks. Bimatoprost, latanoprost and travoprost can turn the iris brown. Timolol is a beta blocker; tell your doctor about heart or lung disease before using it. The bimatoprost solution in the Careprost kit is applied along the upper eyelid margin; it can make lashes grow longer, fuller and darker. It can darken eyelid skin, which is reversible, and the iris, which is permanent. Tobradex pairs tobramycin with dexamethasone, a steroid, for infection that also has inflammation. A painful red eye or blurred vision should be checked by a doctor. Do not use steroid drops unless a doctor has assessed the eye. Orders to Malaysia are shipped by pharmacy partners in India in discreet packaging.

FAQ

What are eye medicines for?

People take the eye medicines listed here for ocular hypertension, glaucoma, conjunctivitis, open-angle glaucoma and corneal ulcer. You'll find the conditions for each medicine on its own page.

Which eye medicines can I get on MayChemist?

There are 7 eye medicines on MayChemist, made from 7 different active ingredients, among them bimatoprost, ciprofloxacin and tobramycin. Two to start with: Careprost + Applicators and Bimatoprost.

Are eye medicines only tablets?

All of them come as eye drops. Each product page shows its forms and strengths.

How do I compare eye medicines?

Begin with the active ingredient; this range has 7 of them. Products with the same ingredient are the same medicine, so then compare strength, form and price per bottle. The details table on each product page covers uses, onset, side effects and interactions. If you take other medicines, are pregnant or live with a long-term condition, talk to a doctor or pharmacist first.

Do I get brand-name or generic eye medicines?

Generic or branded generic. We only supply those, never the original maker's packs. Names like Ciloxan and Tobradex tell you which medicine it is; what arrives is a generic with the same active ingredient and dose. Which brand you get depends on stock.
